Winchester Cathedral - October 22nd 2020
Completed and dedicated in 1093 by the Normans, Winchester Cathedral was built with the addition of the bricks and stones from the Old Minister Cathedral that had previously stood in this spot for 450 years. Over the years the cathedral underwent many changes, additions and alterations but by the early 16th Century most of what is seen there today was completed. Winchester Cathedral was for many years a dramatic symbol of Anglo-Saxon and Norman royal power and wealth from a time when Winchester was the capital city of England.
Showcase Cinema de Lux - October 22nd 2020
The 10 screen "Showcase Cinema de Lux" was part of the £90 million Watermark WestQuay development program for Southampton, which opened 10th February 2017 The roof is installed with a huge 75 kWp solar PV system, HBS New Energies, capable of delivering 64,865 kWh of power and reducing the development's overall carbon footprint by an estimated 34,066kg of CO2 per year.

On 9th December 2022 an estimated 20,000 postmen / postwomen took to the streets of Westminster, in London, to protest against the proposed reduction in working terms and conditions within the Royal Mail Group. Following talks from senior CWU leaders, including the General Secretary, Dave Ward, the rally then marched down Jubilee Walkway to congregate outside Buckingham Palace.
